I’ve been tinkering with the new Aerohive AP-250, which has D5G capability. I’ve done dual-downlink testing, and so far, there is no ACI between the radios at all. That said, the AP-250 doesn’t have DFS certification, so I can only test UNII-1 and UNII-3 on the same AP at the present time. They said that DFS certification is shortly forthcoming, so I will test D5G at exactly 80MHz of channel separation (the minimum) when we can.

    Additional Info:

Next, I will test uplink/downlink to see if one radio’s transmission affects the other radio’s reception. I’ll have to test the same when DFS channels are available.

Anyone want to comment on how important (or not important) they think D5G technology is?
